Through Emerge Education’s 33-week Allied Healthcare Profession certificate program, you’ll be qualified to sit for multiple certification exams including Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA), Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist (CEHRS), Medical Coder & Biller Certification (MCBC) and Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).

Allied Healthcare Professional is a unifying term for any professional that works in a health services position. This program in particular focuses on health services positions including pharmacy technician, electronic health records specialist, billing and coding specialist, and medical office administration. In order to participate in this program you’ll need a High School Diploma or GED and a web browser with internet connection. Through this training, you’ll be able to: comply with pharmacy laws, HIPAA/HITECH, CMS and other healthcare regulations, appreciate how the use of EHR, practice management & pharmacy systems affect patient safety and reimbursement, recognize ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers and how to utilize them for billing, and apply knowledge of pharmacology, medication order fill and inventory management in the pharmacy At the end of the program, you’ll have the ability to choose from a wide range of positions that fit your career goals.
