Emerge Education’s 12-week Electronic Health Records Specialist certificate program will prepare you to sit for the Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist, or CEHRS, exam.
The Electronic Health Records Specialist career training will teach you the skills needed to succeed. You’ll gain experience in handling patient data. An Electronic Health Records Specialist can work in various settings, including, but not limited to, doctor’s offices, hospitals, laboratories, urgent care centers, nursing homes, and clinics.
In order to participate in this program, you’ll need a High School Diploma or GED and a Web browser with an internet connection.
Through this training, you’ll be able to:

- comprehend the use of Diagnosis and Procedure codes in the medical record
- understand use of financial, statistical and census reports; as well as invoices, claims, and other forms
