Through Emerge Education’s 3-week Ethical Hacker (PenTest+) certificate program, you’ll be qualified to sit for the CompTIA PenTest+ exam.

An Ethical Hacker offers the first line of defense to protect organizations from cyberattacks. They work with “offensive” strategies to identify possible vulnerabilities within organizations’ networks and systems, oftentimes offering re-testing to assure the vulnerabilities are fixed. Ethical Hackers are employed across a wide range of industries, large and small. They can work for businesses, corporations, the government, computer and software engineering companies, the finance sector and consulting firms.

In order to participate in this program you’ll need a High School Diploma or GED and Web browser with internet connection. We require CompTIA Security+, Network+, or equivalent experience as well as a minimum of 3-4 years of hands-on information security or related experience.

Through this training, you’ll be able to:

• perform a vulnerability scan and analyze scan results
• analyze tool output or data related to a penetration test
• conduct information gathering using appropriate techniques
• recommend mitigation strategies for discovered vulnerabilities
• exploit wireless and RF-based vulnerabilities, application-based vulnerabilities and local host vulnerabilities
