Through Emerge Education’s 10-week Networking Specialist certificate program, you’ll be qualified to sit for the Cisco Certified Technician Routing and Switching (CCT) and CompTIA Network+ certification exams.

Network Specialists play a vital role in analyzing, troubleshooting, and ensuring the efficient functioning of computer networks. They collect performance data, monitor security, and troubleshoot issues to maintain network stability. Additionally, they contribute to the design and construction of communication networks and are responsible for their day-to-day operations. The specific roles may vary depending on the size and structure of the organization.

In order to participate in this program you’ll need

  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • A web browser with internet connection

Through this training, you’ll be able to:

  • Identify and work with various network typologies and network types, including LANs, WANs, and VLANs
  • Configure and implement network access control settings, permissions, authentication, and network hardening measures through an understanding of fundamental network security concepts
  • Provide, create or update technical documentation for network diagrams, plans and procedures, audit & assessment reports, baseline configurations, disaster recovery, service-level agreements and other documents
  • Demonstrate knowledge of how to architect, manage, and maintain network infrastructure, including related equipment such as routers, switches, cabling and legacy components
